Bangkok, Thailand · Adults 40+
Financial clarity, arrived at thoughtfully
Small-group reading programmes on tax, inheritance, and investing — designed for people who want to understand, not just be told.
Three Programmes, Each Its Own Pavilion
Each programme addresses a distinct chapter in the financial life of adults 40+ in Thailand. You may attend one, or all three — in any order that suits you.
A Reading Companion to the Thai Tax Year
A three-session programme walking you through the Thai personal tax year — deductions, allowances, provident fund, RMF, and the particular considerations for expatriate residents. You leave better prepared to read tax documents and ask informed questions of your own licensed adviser.
- Three sessions, structured and unhurried
- Glossary and reference card included
- Relevant to both Thai nationals and expatriates
- Educator-led — no selling, no advice
Conversations on Inheritance
A weekend programme of two sessions on the cultural and financial dimensions of inheritance for households at 40+. The first session covers documents — wills, beneficiary nominations, property transfer. The second explores the conversations these arrangements often invite, including across generations and mixed-nationality households.
- Two sessions over one weekend
- Small group — supports personal reflection
- Covers mixed-nationality households
- Technical and reflective dimensions both
The Investing Apprenticeship
Four months of monthly meetings for adult readers who want a patient, in-depth introduction to investing. Asset classes, risk and time horizon, fund structures, market history — one broad topic per session, with reading provided in advance. Participants keep a written learning journal reviewed in confidence at each subsequent meeting.
- Four monthly sessions across four months
- Pre-session reading for each topic
- Personal learning journal — reviewed in confidence
- Designed for fluency that lasts decades
What These Programmes Are Built Around
Each element of how we work reflects a considered position — not a marketing claim.
Literacy, Not Advice
Our facilitators are educators. There is no product to sell, no portfolio to recommend. The aim is to help you read financial material clearly, so your own adviser conversations become more useful.
Small Groups by Design
Every programme is capped to allow real discussion. Questions are taken seriously. People at different starting points learn from each other, which turns out to matter quite a lot.
Paced for Adults with Responsibilities
Sessions are scheduled to fit working and family lives. No weeknight marathons — reading and reflection happen between meetings, not under pressure in the room.
Thailand-Specific Context
Tax deductions, property transfer rules, fund structures, inheritance law — all presented in the Thai regulatory context, with attention to the particular situation of expatriate residents where relevant.
No Sales, No Upselling
Attendance in a programme does not lead to a sales call. We do not hold referral arrangements with financial product providers. The relationship is simply educator and learner.
Written Materials That Stay With You
Reference cards, glossaries, and learning journals are part of the programme design. What you learn in the room has somewhere to live once the sessions end.
Which programme fits where you are now?
We are glad to have a brief conversation about which programme — or sequence of programmes — would suit your situation. No commitment required to enquire.
Questions People Often Bring
Collected from enquiries over the past year — answered plainly.
Do I need a financial background to attend?
No prior background is needed or assumed. The programmes are designed for people who want to build understanding from a modest starting point. The pace is set accordingly, and questions are welcomed throughout.
Are these programmes conducted in English?
Yes, all sessions and written materials are in English. The programmes are particularly well-suited to expatriates resident in Thailand, as well as Thai nationals who prefer to study financial topics in English.
Will I receive specific advice about my own finances?
No — and this is intentional. Our facilitators are educators, not licensed advisers. The programmes build your capacity to engage with a qualified professional more effectively. We do not make recommendations about specific products, funds, or individual situations.
How large are the groups?
Groups are kept small — typically eight to twelve participants. This is a deliberate choice. It means the facilitator can address different starting points in the room, and participants have space to raise questions without feeling they are holding others back.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions are held at our address on Rama IV Road, Pathumwan, Bangkok — accessible by BTS and MRT. When you make an enquiry, we will send you detailed directions and parking information.
Can I attend all three programmes?
Yes, and many participants do so over time. There is no required sequence — each programme stands independently. Some people begin with the tax companion, others start with the apprenticeship. We are happy to suggest a sequence based on your circumstances.
What is the payment process?
After your enquiry, we will confirm available cohort dates and send a formal enrolment confirmation. Payment is made prior to the first session by bank transfer to a Thai account. We issue a receipt. Prices are in Thai baht.
What if I need to miss a session in the Apprenticeship?
We understand that four months involves real life. We ask participants to let us know in advance where possible. Session notes and reading materials will be made available for the session missed. A make-up arrangement may be possible depending on cohort circumstances — please raise it with us directly.
